General information: L4 product, analysis of a SST night time series of the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) sensors embedded on the Pathfinder satellites over the period 1986-2006.

Description of observation methods/instruments: Analyse of the night time serie of the AVHRR sensors. The mean temperature is evaluated using a seasonal model composed of two harmonic functions and a linear trend for the long term evolution of the SST. The anomalies calculated from that model and then interpolated using the kriging procedure.
